Today some of our year eight students visited Dunstable Library to continue their research into the lives of some of the ex students of Dunstable Grammar School. They have unearthed some interesting facts and will be using these to help create a drama production which we hope will be performed in the spring term.
Dr Mitchell is starting a history club so that pupils can research further using the Ancestry.com site which we now have access to.
Last Saturday the Old Boys held their Annual Dinner at the school. They visited the garden and were very impressed by what they saw.
Tonight we appeared on the TV. Pupils presented their research and the school was seen commemorating WW1.
We have just heard that our WW1 memorial garden has won the Dunstable in Bloom School Competition.
Year 5 presented their work on WW1 to parents and friends at a very successful production. |
